Less than a month to the Olympics and Beijing is faced with (cough, cough) a level of pollution that can be more than six times the recommended dosage. To solve the problem, China intends to
- halve the number of cars--using odd and even license plates
- stop all construction, even spray painting
- shut down factories in the surrounding cities
Not to be cynical, but I wonder how the Chinese media will handle this one?
The architecture is truly amazing. Take a peek. Seeing it clearly may be a problem, however.
